Privacy policy
As of October 2026. This privacy notice applies to the websites lbk-records.de and lbk-records.com. This website uses no cookies and no tracking.
1. Controller
The controller under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is:
Lorenz Knauft
LBK Records (sole proprietorship)
Wesselswerth 19
45239 Essen
Germany
Email: label@lbk-records.com
Phone: +49 152 29632848
We process only (a) technical access data (server log files) when you visit the site, and (b) your name, email address and message if you use the contact form or write to us by email.
2. Hosting at STRATO and server log files
The website is hosted by STRATO AG, Otto-Ostrowski-Straße 7, 10249 Berlin, Germany. When you open a page, the web server automatically records data sent by your browser: IP address, date and time of the request, page or file requested, browser type and operating system, and the referring page if provided. The purpose is secure and stable operation and defence against attacks. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest). STRATO stores this data only for a short period under its own policies and then deletes it. A data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR exists with STRATO.
3. No cookies, no tracking, local font, two domains
This website sets no cookies and uses no analytics, tracking or advertising services, so there is no cookie banner. The font (Dancing Script) is stored on our own server; no connection to Google or other font services is made. No external content (maps, videos, players) is embedded. The site is available at lbk-records.de (German) and lbk-records.com (English); both run on the same installation and process data in the same way.
4. Contact form and email
If you use the contact form, we process your name, email address, message and your consent (checkbox). The data is sent to us by email and is not stored in the website database. We use it only to answer your request. The legal basis is your consent under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, which you can withdraw at any time with effect for the future; if your request relates to a contract, Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR applies.
To prevent spam, the form uses a hidden field, a check of the time taken to fill it in and a 60-second waiting period between messages, without external services. For this, a non-reversible hash of your IP address is briefly held on the server (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). If you email us directly, we process your address and message to handle your request (Art. 6(1)(a) or (b) GDPR). Unencrypted emails can be read in transit.
5. External links, recipients, retention, third countries
The site links to Instagram, Bandcamp, Spotify and YouTube and to shop pages. These are plain links; nothing is embedded. Once you click a link, you leave our site and the provider’s privacy policy applies. Our service provider is STRATO AG, which provides both hosting and email; we do not pass data to other third parties unless legally required. Server log files are deleted after a short time; contact messages are deleted once your request is resolved and no legal retention duty applies. We do not transfer personal data to countries outside the EU/EEA. There is no automated decision-making or profiling.
6. Your rights and complaints
You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and to object to processing based on Art. 6(1)(f) (Art. 21). You can withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future by writing to the email address above. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR). The competent authority is the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of North Rhine-Westphalia (Landesbeauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit Nordrhein-Westfalen), Kavalleriestraße 2–4, 40213 Düsseldorf, Germany.
